The Glass of Wine by Jan Vermeer – Handmade Oil Painting Reproduction
The Glass of Wine is a classic interior painting from Jan Vermeer, the great master of the Dutch Golden Age. The artwork portrays an elegant indoor scene with a gentleman and a lady sharing a quiet moment. Dressed in a dark wide-brimmed hat and heavy cloak, the man sits beside a table covered with an ornate carpet. The woman in a soft coral gown lifts her wine glass gently.
Vermeer uses soft natural light streaming through the leaded stained-glass window on the left to illuminate the room. Every element is rendered with extraordinary care: the tiled checkerboard floor, carved wooden chairs, hanging framed artwork, ceramic pitcher and musical instrument resting nearby. The subtle light and shadow build a calm, intimate mood typical of Vermeer’s iconic style.
This is 100% hand-painted oil painting reproduction, NOT a printed poster. Our professional oil painters faithfully recreate every fine detail: the folds of the garments, stained glass patterns, intricate table rug and gentle light transitions of the original masterpiece.
